Stenciled Registered Yardage
Design Concept & Execution
For my fabric painting class I was asked to create a registered piece of yardage through the use of stenciling. For my design I decided to take a more abstract approach and compose a motif with interconnecting lines utilizing a half brick pattern. Using a laser cutter, I was able to cut three separate stencils from cellulose acetate to produce a design using components of directionality that was registered within a 36 inch segment of yardage.
